Miriam Jang
Bodyworker
About me
Miriam is a VCMT student in her final semester of their full-time program. Her calling to massage therapy was initiated by her background in the health and fitness industry, where she saw many individuals pushing their bodies to reach their optimal performance without giving adequate attention to recovery. Thus, Miriam’s approach to massage is rooted in her desire to help individuals feel more connected and aligned with their body; mentally, physically, and emotionally. Her treatments are informed by her own experiences in athletics, injury rehabilitation, and functional training, allowing her to appreciate the unique demands placed on the body in both everyday life and athletic pursuits.
Miriam ensures that each massage is custom-made to suit each individual’s lifestyle, level of comfort, and specific needs in order to work towards both short-term objectives and long-term goals. Her treatments are dynamic, and use modalities such as Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, PNF and neuromuscular techniques to create a holistic approach to client-centred care.
