If you need additional sessions after this period, your practitioner can submit a treatment extension request to ICBC on your behalf.

No — there are no user fees or additional costs once your claim is approved. Your treatments are fully covered under ICBC’s rate agreement.

No, a doctor’s referral is not required to begin treatment under an active ICBC claim. However, if your claim is older than 12 weeks or you’ve exhausted your initial sessions, a doctor’s note can support your extension request.
