What you can expect:

Your ICBC claim number is the only thing standing between you and treatment. You receive it the moment you report your crash to ICBC. Bring that number to your first visit and your coverage is active from day one. Do not have your claim number yet? Contact us anyway and we will walk you through reporting it.

Under ICBC's Enhanced Care model, everyone injured in a crash in British Columbia is covered for the first 12 weeks, no matter who was responsible. Fault affects the vehicle side of your claim, not your access to treatment. Drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians are all eligible for the same care and recovery benefits, so there is no reason to delay treatment while responsibility is being sorted out.

You do not need a note from your family doctor, a walk in clinic visit or approval from ICBC before starting care. You can book directly with a physiotherapist, chiropractor, registered massage therapist, acupuncturist, kinesiologist or counsellor as soon as you have your claim number. This matters because your 12 week window starts on the date of your accident, and waiting weeks for a referral appointment costs you treatment time you cannot get back.

We bill ICBC directly at their approved treatment rates, so there is nothing to pay at your appointment, no invoices to submit and no waiting for reimbursement. You focus on recovery and we handle the paperwork and reporting on your behalf. If you already paid out of pocket for treatment after your crash, keep your receipts, since ICBC allows you to submit them for reimbursement within 180 days of the expense.

ICBC automatically pre-approves a set number of treatments within the first 12 weeks of your accident date:

If you need additional sessions after this period, your practitioner can submit a treatment extension request to ICBC on your behalf.
