Alvaro Fang
Massage Therapist
About me
Alvaro is a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy's 3000 hour program. He also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, giving him a strong foundation in human movement, exercise science, and injury rehabilitation.
Alvaro began his career as a Kinesiologist working with ICBC and WorkSafeBC patients, then moved into case management, supporting clients through complex recovery and return to work processes. This experience gave him insight into both the clinical and insurance sides of rehabilitation, and a deep appreciation for individualized care.
During his training he worked with varsity athletes at UBC and Douglas College, individuals living with MS, geriatric patients, and families at Canuck Place and the David Lede House. His treatments draw on deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and PNF stretching to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support long term functional health. He works with everyone from those managing stress to individuals recovering from injury or living with persistent discomfort.
